SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 495
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Wanda Carter, who is retiring March 31, 2013, from the
  Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after more than 35
  years of outstanding service to the state; and
 
         WHEREAS, Wanda joined the comptroller's office in 1977 as
  an administrative technician in a Houston enforcement office;
  she has gone on to hold a number of important positions within the
  agency, including enforcement officer and tax specialist, and
  she is retiring as an accounts examiner in the Exempt
  Organizations Section; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she has been noted for her
  superior organizational skills and her tax exemption expertise;
  talented and resourceful, she has handled her many
  responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and
  admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby commend Wanda Carter on her exceptional
  service to the people of Texas as an employee of the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
