SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 525
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Milton Guess
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Milton Guess, who
  died March 14, 2013, at the age of 74; and
         WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman was widely respected
  and admired for his outstanding achievements and his many
  contributions to his community; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Guess was a supporter of a number of civic and
  philanthropic organizations, notably the San Antonio River
  Foundation, Los Compadres de San Antonio Missions, and the San
  Antonio Parks Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued
  counsel will not be forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and
  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Milton Guess: his wife, Norma; his daughters and
  sons-in-law, Terri Ann Guess, Cheryl Lynn Sekel and her husband,
  Joe, Shanna Kay Lindner and her husband, Larry, Courtney Teal
  Guess, Gretchen Lynn Farrar and her husband, Chris, and Nicole
  Renee Juel; and his grandchildren, Dustin Ross Lindner, Rodney
  Keith McMannen, Joseph Michael Sekel, Jr., and Haley Elizabeth
  Sekel; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Milton Guess.
