SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 604
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Sandra Lutz
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and pays
  tribute to the life of Arlington resident Sandra Lutz, who died
  March 10, 2013, at the age of 57; and
         WHEREAS, Born May 21, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, she spent
  much of her life promoting health care, education, and a love of
  nature; as a young woman, she worked for Glacier National Park,
  an experience that inspired a passion for nature that endured
  throughout her life; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Lutz was a devoted mother and wife who
  instilled in her two daughters a commitment to community
  involvement; she cofounded the Tarrant County Children's Health
  Insurance Policy Coalition and was deeply involved with the
  Muscular Dystrophy Association, among other organizations; and
         WHEREAS, This multifaceted woman was also widely respected
  as a mentor and a coach and for her support of higher education;
  she and her husband, Larry Lutz, helped establish the Sandy and
  Larry Lutz Reporting Scholarship through the University of
  Nebraska Foundation; she also loved athletics and was
  particularly fond of softball and basketball; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Lutz lived a full and gratifying life, and
  she will long be remembered for her warmth and wisdom, for her
  generosity of spirit, and for her abiding passion for nature and
  the advancement of others; her memory will be forever cherished
  by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
  bereaved family of Sandra Lutz; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Sandra Lutz.
