SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 626
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  welcome to the State Capitol the fourth grade class of Mrs. Mac's
  Shining Stars in Georgetown; and
 
         WHEREAS, These dedicated young scholars are serving as
  pages for the Texas Senate and the Texas House of Representatives
  on April 11, 2013; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Mac's Shining Stars is a private Christian
  school founded in 1998 by educator Linda McCasland; this
  exemplary institution offers care and education to young people
  from the age of eight weeks through fourth grade; and
 
         WHEREAS, The faculty, staff, and caregivers at Mrs. Mac's
  Shining Stars emphasize parental involvement and provide
  students with an atmosphere of discovery, unconditional love,
  and positive guidance; in addition to its academic core
  curriculum, the school offers enrichment programs in computer
  technology, Spanish, physical education, and music; and
 
         WHEREAS, This trip to the State Capitol is an outstanding
  example of the school's efforts to prepare its students to face
  the challenges of today's complex world; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby commend the students of the fourth grade
  class of Mrs. Mac's Shining Stars on their interest in public
  service and extend to them best wishes for a memorable day at the
  State Capitol; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
