SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 663
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
  recognizing Harper Hill, who recently received the Congressional
  Award Bronze Medal; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding student and Eagle Scout is a high
  school senior at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, which is
  part of the Austin Independent School District; and
         WHEREAS, Harper was awarded the prestigious medal by
  United States Representative Michael McCaul of Austin;
  recipients of the Congressional Award must be between the ages of
  14 and 23 years old and must have set and achieved challenging
  goals; and
         WHEREAS, Harper completed 100 hours of voluntary public
  service, building a playscape for Accessible Housing Austin; he
  also committed 50 hours to physical fitness and 50 hours to
  personal development projects; for these achievements and for
  his dedication to community service, he was given the
  Congressional Award Bronze Medal; and
         WHEREAS, This young man exemplifies the attributes of
  drive, dedication, and innovation that are so essential to the
  future leaders of Texas and our nation; it is indeed fitting that
  he be recognized and honored for his remarkable achievements;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby commend Harper Hill, who recently won
  the Congressional Award Bronze Medal, and extend to him sincere
  best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Harper Hill as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
