SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 671

Clyde Broussard |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of Clyde Broussard, who |
|
died March 17, 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Clyde Broussard was an exemplary citizen who was |
|
widely admired for his achievements and his many contributions to |
|
his community; and |
|
WHEREAS, He enjoyed a rewarding career at Weatherford |
|
International, where he worked for 16 years and was a trusted and |
|
valued employee; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Broussard was an avid outdoorsman and an |
|
enthusiastic and experienced cyclist; he participated in a wide |
|
variety of races, including the MS 150 and the Tour de Houston; he |
|
also enjoyed scuba diving and fishing; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he |
|
gave unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit and his |
|
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be |
|
forgotten; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves |
|
behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and |
|
many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the |
|
bereaved family of Clyde Broussard; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the |
|
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do |
|
so in memory of Clyde Broussard. |
