Geraldine Brinck |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
|
citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Geraldine Brinck, |
|
|
who died March 22, 2013, at the age of 81; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jerry Brinck was born January 10, 1932, in Waco; |
|
|
after graduating from Waco High School, she entered Baylor |
|
|
University as a voice and music student, but her affinity for |
|
|
working with children led her to change her major to elementary |
|
|
education; while attending the university, she was nominated for |
|
|
Baylor Beauty and Homecoming Queen; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She was married to John Brinck for 59 years, and |
|
|
they raised three children and were blessed with four |
|
|
grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Brinck began a long and fulfilling career as |
|
|
a school teacher in 1967 in Kennedale and retired from James F. |
|
|
Delaney Primary School after 30 years of exemplary service; she |
|
|
was active in community and professional affairs and was a member |
|
|
of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, the Baylor Alumni Association, and |
|
|
the Texas Retired Teachers Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She was known for her beautiful voice and often sang |
|
|
solo in churches and for radio stations and special events; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and dignity, she |
|
|
gave generously to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and valued |
|
|
counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, |
|
|
and she leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by |
|
|
her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
|
family of Geraldine Brinck; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
|
memory of Jerry Brinck. |
