SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 734
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Mary Elizabeth Cantu
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Cantu, who died
  April 3, 2013, at the age of 69; and
         WHEREAS, Mary Elizabeth was born into a large and loving
  family on July 3, 1943, and throughout her life, she served as a
  shining example of generosity and devotion; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of grace and integrity, Mary Elizabeth was
  also beloved for her kindhearted spirit and her passion for
  living, and she carried with her wherever she went an abiding
  spirit of faith and compassion; and
         WHEREAS, This gracious lady drew her strength and sense of
  purpose from her family; she inspired them with her contagious
  laugh, her uplifting smile, and her unconditional love, and she
  set forth for them a path that they will strive to follow; and
         WHEREAS, Mary Elizabeth is survived by her devoted
  husband, Edward Cantu, by her many children, grandchildren, and
  great-grandchildren, and by her countless friends, all of whom
  will forever cherish her memory; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Mary Elizabeth Cantu; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Mary Elizabeth Cantu.
