SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 739
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Lylian Berry, Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Lylian "Randy"
  Berry, Jr., who died March 11, 2013, at the age of 42; and
         WHEREAS, Randy Berry was an exemplary citizen who was
  admired for his many achievements and his exceptional
  contributions to his community; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Air Force, he
  served his fellow citizens with distinction as a member of the
  Fort Worth Fire Department, where he was on the Swift Water
  Rescue team; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Berry was devoted to his daughters, Desiree and
  Dominique, and he was raising them as a single parent; he was noted
  for his willingness to help his neighbors and co-workers; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit and
  enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be
  forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, Randy Berry was respected by all who knew him, and
  he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
  family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Lylian Berry, Jr.; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Randy Berry.
