SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 739

Lylian Berry, Jr. |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Lylian "Randy" |
|
Berry, Jr., who died March 11, 2013, at the age of 42; and |
|
WHEREAS, Randy Berry was an exemplary citizen who was |
|
admired for his many achievements and his exceptional |
|
contributions to his community; and |
|
WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Air Force, he |
|
served his fellow citizens with distinction as a member of the |
|
Fort Worth Fire Department, where he was on the Swift Water |
|
Rescue team; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Berry was devoted to his daughters, Desiree and |
|
Dominique, and he was raising them as a single parent; he was noted |
|
for his willingness to help his neighbors and co-workers; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he |
|
gave unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit and |
|
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be |
|
forgotten; and |
|
WHEREAS, Randy Berry was respected by all who knew him, and |
|
he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his |
|
family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Lylian Berry, Jr.; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Randy Berry. |
