SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 754
         WHEREAS, Members of the 2012-2013 Leadership Mid Valley
  class are visiting the State Capitol on April 24, 2013, to gain
  further insight into the workings of state government; and
 
         WHEREAS, Leadership Mid Valley is an exceptional program
  that provides opportunities for participants to develop
  leadership skills and increase their knowledge of vital public
  issues; and
 
         WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and
  provide a diverse membership with networking opportunities and
  instruction from knowledgeable figures who encourage students to
  acquaint themselves with community needs and problems while
  evaluating possible solutions; and
 
         WHEREAS, This year's Leadership Mid Valley class includes
  Maribel Contreras, Jennifer Rektorik, Luis Reyes, Randy Summers,
  Jose Uribe, Sandy Vasquez, Gilberto Vasquez, Alfredo Vera, Kyle
  O'Haver, Sheila Shidler, and Ramon Montalvo; these dedicated
  class members are accompanied on their visit by staff member
  Martha Noell; and
 
         WHEREAS, Endeavoring to foster a more informed and
  involved citizenry and to develop new leaders in South Texas, the
  program is helping to build a brighter and more promising future
  for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby welcome Leadership Mid Valley to the State
  Capitol and extend to all participants sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  this outstanding organization as an expression of esteem from the
  Texas Senate.
