SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 774

James Dominguez |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of United States Border Patrol Agent James |
|
Dominguez, who died in the line of duty on July 19, 2012; and |
|
WHEREAS, James Dominguez was an exceptional citizen who |
|
was greatly admired in his community and by his fellow Border |
|
Patrol agents; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was a man of exceptional bravery whose strong |
|
sense of responsibility was reflected in his deep commitment to |
|
the welfare of others; he had followed in the footsteps of his |
|
father by becoming a Border Patrol agent; and |
|
WHEREAS, The courage and personal sacrifice of this exemplary |
|
agent in the line of duty will serve as a constant reminder of his deep |
|
devotion to upholding a fair and effective justice system; and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Brigham Young University, Mr. Dominguez |
|
was a leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints |
|
and served as a member of the high council at his congregation on |
|
the west side of San Antonio; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave |
|
generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel |
|
will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to share in his |
|
life; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves |
|
behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and |
|
countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of James Dominguez; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of James Dominguez. |
