SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 783
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Bobbie Lucille Epperson Kilpatrick
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Bobbie Lucille Epperson Kilpatrick, who
  died April 8, 2013, at the age of 89; and
         WHEREAS, Bobbie Kilpatrick was born March 18, 1924, in
  Ryan, Oklahoma, and her family moved to Texas when she was a
  child; she graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1942,
  and that summer, she met her life's love, Donald Lee Kilpatrick;
  they married the following year, just before he was summoned to
  serve in World War II; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kilpatrick made Fort Worth their
  home, and over the years, they raised five sons; and
         WHEREAS, Bobbie Kilpatrick was known throughout her life
  as a vivacious and generous soul, and she impressed virtually
  everyone she met with her easy smile and her joie de vivre; she
  had a passion for reading and was seldom seen without a book close
  at hand; she also took great satisfaction from volunteering at
  the First Street Mission, and she was deeply loved and respected
  by her friends in the Covenant Class at First United Methodist
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, She was devoted to her family and very proud of
  her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and
  nephews, and she spent countless happy hours in their company;
  she had many dear friends in the Fort Worth community, and they
  and the Kilpatrick family will long cherish the memory of her
  exceptional and kind spirit; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
  bereaved family of Bobbie Lucille Epperson Kilpatrick; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Bobbie Kilpatrick.
