SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 784
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  join the citizens of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in
  celebrating the dedication ceremony for the Forest Hill Memorial
  Park; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Forest Hill Memorial Park was established to
  honor the service of the men and women of America's armed forces
  and to provide a setting for multicultural events that celebrate
  the nation's patriotic holidays and our country's diversity; and
 
         WHEREAS, The park will offer a wide array of features,
  including a Court of Honor with the names of men and women who
  have served in all branches of the military, a monument honoring
  prisoners of war and those missing in action, a monument paying
  tribute to the Forest Hill public safety officers who have lost
  their lives in the line of duty, and a commemorative bald eagle
  display; and
 
         WHEREAS, The creation of this park is a reflection of the
  community-driven spirit of the citizens of Forest Hill, and it is
  truly fitting that its dedication ceremony be recognized; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby commend the citizens of the City of Forest
  Hill on their commitment to honor our nation's veterans and
  extend best wishes to all for a memorable dedication ceremony for
  the Forest Hill Memorial Park; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the city as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
