SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 792
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Keith Perry of Austin, who is retiring as chief
  executive officer of Sears Methodist Retirement System after 35
  years of outstanding service in the field of long-term health
  care; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Perry entered the profession of aging
  services and long-term health care in 1976; he is a graduate of
  Baylor University, and he holds a master's degree from the
  Institute of Urban Affairs at The University of Texas at
  Arlington; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his career, Mr. Perry has
  served on a variety of public and private boards; the many
  organizations with which he has served include the Texas
  Association of Homes and Services for the Aging and the Caring
  Communities Insurance Company; he has also served as state
  director of the older worker program for the area agencies on
  aging network; and
         WHEREAS, He has proudly maintained his ties to his roots in
  Abilene, where he served on the boards of the Abilene Chamber of
  Commerce and the Abilene Philharmonic Foundation, and he was a
  member of the executive committee of the Abilene Industrial
  Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, A skillful and dedicated administrator, Mr. Perry
  has had a profound impact on the lives of countless people; he is
  respected and admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the
  Sears Methodist Retirement System will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby commend Keith Perry on his many achievements
  and his contributions to the Sears Methodist Retirement System
  and the long-term care profession and extend to him best wishes
  for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
