SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 809
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Wallace Lee Reynolds, Sr., on the occasion of his 75th
  birthday; and
 
         WHEREAS, Wallace Reynolds was born May 11, 1938, in
  Georgia, the eldest of 12 brothers and sisters; he grew up in
  Bridgeton, New Jersey, and attended Bridgeton High School, where
  he was a standout football player and track athlete; and
 
         WHEREAS, After high school, he enlisted in the United
  States Air Force and served the country with distinction for 23
  years at various postings around the nation and the world; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mr. Reynolds went on to enjoy a fulfilling career
  of nearly two decades as executive director of support operations
  for a law firm based in Washington, D.C.; and
 
         WHEREAS, He has been married to his high school sweetheart
  for more than 55 years; they raised four children and have been
  blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;
  he is active in his church and is still a formidable competitor on
  the racquetball court; and
 
         WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of his community, he
  is noted for his courage, his compassion for others, and his
  enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby commend Wallace Lee Reynolds, Sr., on
  his many achievements and extend to him best wishes for a
  memorable 75th birthday celebration; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
