SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 972
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  James Edward Lindeman III
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of James Edward Lindeman
  III, who died October 5, 2012, at the age of 58; and
         WHEREAS, Jim Lindeman was born February 6, 1954, in Austin;
  he was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High
  School; he earned degrees from Principia College and the
  University of Houston Law Center; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Lindeman was committed to public service and
  began his career in the practice of law as an assistant district
  attorney for Harris County; he later became a criminal defense
  attorney and was highly regarded by those in the legal field for
  his knowledge, integrity, and unfailing commitment to his
  clients; and
         WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer and took great pleasure in
  sailing, both competitively and with his family; he was also an
  active and proud alumnus of the University of Houston Law
  Center; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, grace, and compassion, he gave
  unselfishly to others, and his warm smile, his generous spirit,
  and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be
  forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, and a
  loving father to his children, Kathryn, Stuart, and Laura, and he
  leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of James Edward Lindeman III; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Jim Lindeman.
