of |

|
James Edward Lindeman III |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
|
citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of James Edward Lindeman |
|
|
III, who died October 5, 2012, at the age of 58; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jim Lindeman was born February 6, 1954, in Austin; |
|
|
he was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High |
|
|
School; he earned degrees from Principia College and the |
|
|
University of Houston Law Center; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Lindeman was committed to public service and |
|
|
began his career in the practice of law as an assistant district |
|
|
attorney for Harris County; he later became a criminal defense |
|
|
attorney and was highly regarded by those in the legal field for |
|
|
his knowledge, integrity, and unfailing commitment to his |
|
|
clients; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer and took great pleasure in |
|
|
sailing, both competitively and with his family; he was also an |
|
|
active and proud alumnus of the University of Houston Law |
|
|
Center; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, grace, and compassion, he gave |
|
|
unselfishly to others, and his warm smile, his generous spirit, |
|
|
and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be |
|
|
forgotten; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, and a |
|
|
loving father to his children, Kathryn, Stuart, and Laura, and he |
|
|
leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his |
|
|
family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
|
family of James Edward Lindeman III; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
|
memory of Jim Lindeman. |
