No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the Family Code and provide a new defense against a motion for enforcement of child support if a child support obligor is confined in jail or prison for 90 consecutive days.

 

The Office of the Attorney General and the Office of Court Administration have determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State and could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
