No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to except the release of information held by a law enforcement agency that would unduly interfere with the detection, investigation, or prosecution of a crime relating to an ongoing investigation or conduct that remains subject to prosecution and the matter is not considered closed. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
