IN RE: | HB234 by Guillen (Relating to the optional flexible school day program provided by school districts.), As Introduced |
The bill would expand eligibility for the Optional Flexible School Day Program (OFSDP) by permitting school districts to apply to provide an OFSDP for a campus or campuses that would benefit from the program. Based on the analysis of the Texas Education Agency, duties related to the potential increase in OFSDP applications could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
The bill would apply beginning with the 2013–2014 school year.
