No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the confidentiality of certain information following the completion of a review conducted by an independent review organization. A party that seeks the independent review of an adverse determination would be entitled to the name and professional qualifications of any physician or other individual health care provider who made the review determination under the provisions of the bill.

Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
