The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to requiring notice of a hotel's firearms policy and other guest policies. The bill would also make it a misdemeanor offense to violate Section 2155.103, punishable by a fine of not more than $100 dollars.
Based on the information provided by the Department of Public Safety, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Comptroller of Public Accounts, this analysis assumes that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
