FROM:

IN RE:
HB358 by Giddings (Relating to the grounds for modification of a child support order.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to change the criteria regarding when courts may modify a child support order and when the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) shall file a child support review order. The OAG and the Office of Court Administration indicate that any additional costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
