No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to change the criteria regarding when courts may modify a child support order and when the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) shall file a child support review order. The OAG and the Office of Court Administration indicate that any additional costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
