No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The provisions of the bill would no longer allow nonprofit organizations to be eligible for Jobs and Education for Texas (JET) Grants. The provisions of the bill would also no longer allow scholarships to a public junior college or public technical institute student under the JET Grants program. Individuals currently receiving scholarships before the effective date of the enactment of the bill for the 2013-2014 academic year may continue to receive the scholarship until they are no longer eligible under the provisions of the bill.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
