IN RE:	HB502 by Hernandez Luna (Relating to the practice of dentistry.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code definition of the practice of dentistry to include providing or performing teeth whitening services.

The State Board of Dental Examiners anticipates a slight increase in complaints due to this additional service being added to the scope of practice for dentistry; however, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be can be absorbed within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
