HB516 by Pitts (Relating to the execution of a search warrant for taking a blood specimen from certain persons in certain intoxication offenses.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 18 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to permit the execution of a warrant to collect a blood specimen from a person suspected of committing an intoxication offense under certain Penal Code provisions in a county that is contiguous to the county in which the warrant is issued.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
