No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the automatic suspension of a driver's license for a certain duration upon final conviction of an offense under Subtitle C if it is shown that the offense was committed in a construction or maintenance work zone when workers were present and within the preceding five years of the offense date the person has been convicted two or more times of an offense under Subtitle C. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
