No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code to allow for employment by open-enrollment charter schools of certain persons as teachers. The Texas Education Agency indicates that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. The bill would become effective immediately upon approval by the appropriate voting majorities, or on September 1, 2013.
