No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code as it relates to agreements between a county and the Department of Public Safety for the joint operation of certain fixed-site facilities. Under the provisions of the bill, a county and the Department of Public safety may enter into an agreement for the joint operation of a fixed-site facility that is located within the boundaries of the county.

The bill would take effect upon September 1, 2013.
