No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code and the Health and Safety Code relating to access to criminal history record information by certain hospitals, regulatory agencies, and other facilities. The Department of Public Safety has determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
