No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code relating to a plan to increase participation in the summer food service program. The bill would require the Department of Agriculture to develop a five-year plan to increase participation in the summer food service program. The Department of Agriculture has indicated it could accomplish the provisions of the bill within existing resources. No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
