No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code to authorize the presiding officer of the governing body of a political subdivision to declare a natural disaster. Under current statute, the governor has the authority.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
