No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would extend the period of time a student may be administered an accommodated or alternative assessment instrument or may be granted an exemption from or a postponement of the administration of an assessment instrument from one to three years.

The bill would require the Texas Education Agency to post certain information on its website regarding student performance on academic skills assessment instruments.

Based on information provided by the Texas Education Agency, this analysis assumes that any additional costs could be absorbed within existing resources.
