The bill would amend the Texas Education Code to require school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) instruction to students in grades 7 through 12 at least once before graduation.
The bill would remove the use of an automated external defibrillator as part of the essential knowledge and skills of the health curriculum.
