No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Human Resources Code as it relates to the assessment of an elderly or disabled person's psychological status for purposes of an emergency order authorizing protective services.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

The Department of Family and Protective Services does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact as a result of complying with the provisions of the bill.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
