The bill would require school districts to report annually to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) data regarding certain offenses committed by students .
To implement the bill, TEA would have to add new data elements to the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).
TEA estimates there would be minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
There may be costs associated with updating the student information system to accommodate the collection of new data elements.
