No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, each institution of higher education is required to have one or more persons employed by the institution trained in tracking, through an electronic auditing system, the academic progress of veterans and family members receiving student financial assistance. Each institution is required to adopt and maintain an electronic auditing system to verify the enrollment and completion of courses that count toward the degree plan for veterans and family members receiving student financial assistance. Each public institution must implement the electronic auditing system beginning with the 2014 fall semester.  Institutions of higher education will implement provisions of the bill within existing resources.
