No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the right of an employee who is a victim of a crime to time off from work to attend court proceedings related to that crime.  A sample of agencies including the Texas Workforce Commission, the Office of the Attorney General, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the University of Texas System Administration and the Texas Tech University System indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
