No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to authorize expunction of certain alcohol- or drug-related offenses. The bill would amend Government Code provisions relating to expunction orders to make conforming changes. 

The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The Department of Public Safety reports that the bill would not result in a fiscal impact to the agency. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
