No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Occupations Code related to the composition and size of the Texas Private Security Board, including increasing the number of members from seven to nine and requiring one member from the locksmith profession. It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within the existing resources of the agency. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
