No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to prohibited conduct by insurance adjusters and public insurance adjusters. The bill would prohibit a licensed insurance adjuster from assessing a loss related to roofing damage if they are a roofing contractor or a controlling person in a roofing related business.

Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that any costs associated with the implementation of this bill would be absorbed within existing staff and resources.
