No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to abolish the equine incentive program. Under provisions of the bill the Texas Department of Agriculture would return fee revenues from the program to applicable breeder associations. According to the agency, fee revenue from the program may be approximately $40,000 at the end of fiscal year 2013. The agency has indicated it could implement the provisions of the bill within existing resources, and no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
