No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code as it relates to sexual abuse in suits affecting the parent-child relationship. The bill would require a court to consider certain factors, as described, when making certain decisions relating to custody, possession, or access to a child.  To the extent the bill would amend court procedures, no significant fiscal implication to the court system statewide is anticipated.  It is not anticipated that the bill will have a significant fiscal impact on the Department of Family and Protective Services. 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
