No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to allow for and provide provisions for the donation of office space owned by a member of the legislature or a business entity in which the legislator has a substantial interest.
The Texas Facilities Commission and the Texas Legislative Council indicate the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.
