IN RE:
HB1448 by Kuempel (Relating to the use of money deposited to a justice court technology fund in certain counties.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would expand the uses for the justice court technology fund in Guadalupe County. The fund could be used for continuing education and training for constables, as well as assistance to the constable's office or other county departments with the purchase and maintenance of technological enhancements including computer systems, networks, hardware, software, imaging, docket management systems, electronic kiosks, and ticket writers.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
