No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 681 of the Transportation Code to include vehicles registered with World War II Veteran specialty license plates to the list of registered vehicles currently exempt from payment of parking fees collected through parking meters charged by a governmental authority other than a branch of the federal government, when being operated by or for the transportation of persons who registered the vehicle.

 

Based on the information provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
