HB1545 by Allen (Relating to a study regarding the use of certain public transportation services by persons with disabilities.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities, in coordination with providers located in rural and urban areas of the state, and paratransit advocacy groups, to conduct a study related to certain public transportation services designed for people with disabilities and submit a report, no later than January 1, 2015, to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house of representatives, and standing committees of the senate and house of representatives that have jurisdiction over issues related to transportation.
 
The Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented with existing resources.
 
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.
