HB1728 by Ashby (Relating to the use of an unsworn declaration, the disposition of certain court exhibits, and the seal of a constitutional county court or county clerk.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code relating to the applicability of certain unsworn declarations. The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to disposal of certain legal exhibits. The bill would also amend the Government Code and Local Government Code to authorize the use of certain electronic seals.

The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote of each house, otherwise the bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
