FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1765 by Smith (Relating to the distribution of beer by certain manufacturers.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 62 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the distribution of beer and ale by certain manufacturers. It is assumed that the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013, but only if the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, enacts legislation that becomes law and that amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code to allow small brewers to sell ale and malt liquor to retailers. If the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, does not enact such legislation that becomes law, this Act has no effect.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
