No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Utilities Code to require an electric service provider or gas utility to send a notice of disconnection to customers and tenants of nonsubmetered master metered property prior to any disconnection of service. Based on information provided by the Public Utility Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of this bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
