No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to prohibit the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), given certain conditions as defined by the bill, from imposing a sanction on a school district for the sale of foods of minimal nutritional value at the high school level. According to TDA, historical data reflects these types of sanctions were less than $5,000 per year. Accordingly, no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.
